than Wilma Daugherty, and yet her work is firmly
grounded in detail and character."

fragments: Stories of Another Time
This book builds on two of Wilma Daugherty's
earlier works, There Was a Time and Along the
Way. The short stories and vignettes in this
collection capture a lifetime blended with sorrow,
delight, and wonder. They begin in a time long
past, but reach forward with wisdom drawn from
rich and varied experiences. A storyteller's
vernacular weaves a spell within each narrative
account.
A graduate of Bowling Green State University, she has two children, two grandchildren,
and five great-grandchildren. Wilma has been a gifted storyteller her whole life, and a
writer for nearly as long. Her stories ring true with a blend of sorrow and humor from
another time.
