The Freshwater Coffeehouse Anthology is an experiment that is attempting to preserve grassroots poetry in the
written archive of our time. The end result will be a published volume of coffeehouse literature. Submission begins
with a coffee house presentation. Participating venues become the conduit for writers to submit their work for
consideration. It's simple:
Submit up to three poems or short readings (max 500 words) to:
Freshwater Anthology
c/o Drinian Press
P.O. Box 63
Huron, Ohio 44839-0063
Be sure to include an address, phone number, and/or email address where we can get hold of you. Also, tell us the
name of the Coffeehouse where you read your work. If your work is accepted, you will be asked for permission to
place it in the printed anthology. If any of your work appears in the anthology, you will receive a copy of the book and
a 40% discount on additional copies. The book itself will be available to the general public through participating
venues and nationally through online booksellers like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Powell's, etc.
In addition to publishing, your work will appear alongside the works of other coffeehouse artists in the Great Lakes
region. There is no cost for submission, but you must assure that the work presented is your own and that you grant
rights for a one time publication in the anthology. The anthology will be available in print in the fall (late October or
early November).
