Adam Smith (1949-2014) was born and raised in northeast Ohio where he had a varied career that ranged from cartoonist to elephant
keeper at the Cleveland Zoo. After relocating to Knoxville, Tennessee, he became known primarily as a free-lance advertiser who wrote
and produced radio and television ads. He also wrote and edited a number of documentaries for cable television networks. Adam’s creativity
has been well-documented in magazines, TV scripts, and stage plays.
He graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelor’s degree
in English, and was an avid baseball player and fan.
